After the success of last year’s conference, the team at Enable Infomatrix have decided to go ahead and organise the 2008 client conference and workshop, which will be held on 23rd October at the Stratford Manor Hotel and will see the likes of RBS, Carlsberg and Sainsbury’s attending the event. The team at Box Clever Marketing has recently completed the planned visits to 8 of the London based sports bars within the Innventive Tups group, the business that has recently acquired 37 pubs across London. Purpose of these visits was to understand the culture, ethos and personality of the business, review and analyse the sales performance of each venue, evaluate the look, feel, atmosphere and food and drink offering and identify problem areas and actions required to develop and push the brand forward. All the findings were then presented to the Head of Innventive to support development of the new brand needed to hit the aggressive groups’ targets! Box Clever Marketing has recently designed and produced a very professional, yet stylish and fresh looking brochure to promote and sell the services and expertise offered by the Precision Recruitment Processing division of Flex Recruitment, the recruitment agency based in Hinckley. Precision Recruitment Processing, also known as volume recruitment, is a fairly new concept in the UK, but Flex is already ahead of the game and has fully embraced this new process and, quite rightly, wants to shout about it! For the past eight months Box Clever Marketing has been supporting AMD on its transition journey from being an ordinary printing company to becoming a communications services company. Well, the journey is now complete! After giving AMD a total facelift, including a brand new logo, corporate identity, stationery and website, Box Clever has produced the last piece of the puzzle, i.e. an interactive six page sales PDF based on the design of the new website. GEMINI LOYALTY VOUCHERS WORK LIKE A TREAT...
Gemini, the women clothes shop and shoe shop based in Stratford upon Avon has achieved amazing results recently and particularly in May, as this turned out to be the best month ever in terms of sales of clothes and shoes in the history of Gemini! This was thanks to the loyalty vouchers designed and produced by Box Clever Marketing and distributed by Gemini to its most loyal customers. A total of 1,776 vouchers were sent out and 406 of these were returned, i.e. a 22.86% return. A total of 1,154 customers made a purchase and out of these, 35.2% were loyalty customers! Due to the enormous success achieved through these loyalty vouchers, Gemini has asked Box Clever to work its magic again and produce further discount vouchers to promote the summer sales that will start soon on all summer collections! This information was then turned into creative concepts to give Innventive a fresh new image. The chosen logo and corporate identity was then used to produce the pub chain’s new stationery, HQ signage and literature. E-NEWSLETTER GETS THE THUMBS UP!
Box Clever Marketing and Flex, the recruitment agency based in Hinckley, have recently joined forces to produce the first issue of Flex-press, the company’s very own e-newsletter. Flex-press will be sent out on a monthly basis and will include news on employment and legislation laws, as well as fun news from Flex and the business. The first issue of Flex-press went out at the end of April to 3,636 potential new clients. Thanks to a very powerful in-house email tracking system, Box Clever was able to establish that 1000 of emails sent were opened and 24 of the businesses contacted now represent hot prospects, as these have requested to be contacted by Flex with further information! In order to successfully launch and hit sales targets, Baby Boo turned to Box Clever Marketing for expert and creative advice. The strategic design team at Box Clever Marketing got straight on the case and produced funky visuals to show to the client. The design and images were immediately approved by the client and 4 weeks later the stylish and high quality brochure, website and exhibition stand were born. The Natural and Organic Exhibition in London was the backdrop to launch the new organic baby products with a further event planned for later this year in Dubai. 11,000 web hits in one weekend and interest from Waitrose and Sainsbury’s provided Baby Boo with the best possible start, so lets hope that the success keeps on growing! CR Products enters the world of drive belt solutions...
CR Products, the Daventry based supplier of high tech drive belt solutions, contacted Box Clever Marketing to get expert assistance and advice with the launch of their new business venture. The client commissioned Box Clever Marketing to design and produce the company’s brochure and stationery to promote CR Products in the UK and in Europe. Soon after receiving the brief from the client, the design team came up with contemporary and funky visuals, which the client liked immediately. These visuals where then used to produce the company’s brochure, as well as the company’s stationery. The marketing team dealt with the copy for the brochure, which involved translating the English text into German, Italian, Spanish and French. Vicky joins the Clever Club!
January 2008 saw the Box Clever Club expanding even further! Vicky Corbett, in fact, joined the company as the new office coordinator to support and assist the team with the ever-increasing number of accounts. Her role primarily involves dealing with the day-to-day running of the office, assisting the team with projects and carrying out general administrative tasks. Vicky was born in London but has lived most of her life in Stratford-upon-Avon. After backpacking around Europe for a year and spending some time in the United States, she returned to Stratford-upon-Avon and embarked on a career working predominantly in administration, with varying roles starting in the finance sector and then moving on to office management and coordination in the leisure, recruitment and construction sectors. In her spare time Vicky enjoys socializing with friends and family, travelling and shopping. Vicky is very happy about her fast paced and exciting new role at Box Clever Marketing and is looking forward to learning all the tricks of the trade!

Justin Woodman, Director of Box Clever Marketing, recently presented at a conference at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. The event, organized by the company Common Purpose which provides training and development for industry leaders, featured Justin Woodman as one of four regional entrepreneurs to give a talk about risks and the role these play when running your own business. This conference was part of an eleven-day program aimed at leaders from all sectors, i.e. private, public and voluntary sectors. Justin’s talk covered the following key issues: qualities required to become a successful entrepreneur, attitude towards risk taking, primary drive behind successful entrepreneurs, main challenges faced when running your own business and top tips for would-be entrepreneurs. The conference went very well and gave Justin the opportunity to show off his entrepreneurial skills and talk about his own success at setting up Box Clever Marketing!
New Software company soon to be trading!
Bizimpro, the software company based in Tamworth, contacted Box Clever Marketing at the end of 2007 asking for help and advice on how to launch their new Business Improvement Software. The company already had a website in place but wanted to improve it further by making the content of the site punchier and more attractive to potential clients. Another key aspect that Bizimpro needed help with was a reseller strategy that would allow the company to attract new partners and ultimately sell their Business Improvement Software. Enable Software - based in Stratford-upon-Avon - turned to Box Clever Marketing for expert help with the creation of a brand new theme and strapline to represent their new product offering. New eco-friendly nursery opening soon...
Katy Landreth, owner of The Natural Childcare Company - a new eco-friendly nursery due to open soon near Birmingham - contacted Box Clever Marketing to get some help with the creation of corporate identity for this new business venture. As always, Box Clever Marketing rose to the challenge and in a very short space of time came up with a number of different ideas and visuals for this new nursery. A key aspect of this project was the careful selection of the colour scheme used for the logo and the business identity, as the colour scheme would then be used for the interior design of the nursery and the staff uniform. Furthermore, the company’s logo needed to portray the image of an environmentally friendly nursery, built with eco-friendly materials and run with the environment in mind. Katy was extremely happy with the variety of logos created by Box Clever Marketing and very impressed with the speediness of the service received! The Natural Childcare Company has now officially got a logo and corporate identity and the next step will involve the creation of a brochure and signage for the nursery.

AMD Print, the printing company based in Birmingham, has recently turned to Box Clever Marketing to get expert advice to help them raise their profile and differentiate themselves from their competitors. The team at Box Clever Marketing started the project by analysing AMD’s business, researching its competitors and identifying its current positioning within the market. A SWOT analysis was then compiled and a series of recommendations where put forward to the client for consideration. After receiving positive feedback on the research and analysis carried out, the Box Clever design team commenced their work on a corporate identity. They came up with a series of visuals and mock-ups and the chosen identity was recently selected by the client. New Delphi Diesel additives now selling across Europe...
During the past eight months Box Clever Marketing has been working closely with Delphi to help the company promote a new additive across Europe, which greatly improves diesel engines due to the innovative chemicals contained in the additive. For the first phase of the marketing campaign the design team at Box Clever Marketing designed an advert, which was published in various trade publications in six European countries. The purpose of the advert was to raise awareness amongst the public of the existence of this new product and which garages offer this product. For the second phase of the campaign Box Clever Marketing designed a stylish and compact POS stand for the additives, which are now on display in a number of garages across Europe…So if you own a diesel car watch out for these new products as they will help improve the performance of your car!

Clever Christmas celebrations...
On Saturday 15th December Box Clever Marketing organised a fantastic night out to celebrate the success in 2007. The evening took in all the delights of Stratford has to offer – culture, food and alcohol. By 11 o’clock everybody was well and truly stuffed but still in the mood for partying, so we decided to move on for a few more drinks...The evening gradually came to and end at around 1 o’clock in the morning, when a few of us started showing the first signs of tiredness…The evening was a success and everybody at Box Clever marketing thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Over 3 million tourists and residents to get Warwickshire in pictures...
Box Clever Marketing is currently working with James Kerr, a renowned local photographer, to design and produce a “coffee table style” photography book about Warwickshire and in particular Shakespeare’s Stratford. The book will be a pictorial journey starting on the Oxford road on the Warwickshire borders.

This client offers a complete garden design and build service, with a specialist slant on aquatic features for gardens of any size. Box Clever Marketing has recently designed and produced a Christmas-themed A6 8 page Direct Mailer for Flex Recruitment, the recruitment agency based in Hinckley. The Direct Mail campaign is going to target in excess of 4,000 businesses based in the Leicestershire and Warwickshire area with the aim of promoting the high level of success achieved with its clients during 2007, and ultimately, of gaining new clients. Box Clever Marketing has recently designed and produced an A6 2 page Direct Mailer for Carus Consulting Actuaries, the independent firm of consulting actuaries based in Stratford-upon-Avon. Box Clever Marketing successfully secured business with Midland Heart, one of the largest housing associations in the UK. As well as the lead agency role up for grabs, the project involved creating an exciting, detailed financial review and an annual report. The deadline for both reports was very tight and despite going up against two other agencies Box Clever successfully designed three visual ideas for Midland Heart, proving to have the ability and skills required to turn a forty eight page financial review report and a sixteen page annual report around in just over two weeks. Box Clever won this project and both reports were presented at the Midland Heart’s AGM in September. Great project and challenging deadlines.

Luminaire UK, the lighting manufacturer based in Birmingham, was referred to Box Clever Marketing by Business Link, to get some help with a full business, marketing and design strategy. With the company strategy clarified, the design team came up with a choice of logos for the client and the preferred one was chosen. Yes, it’s that time of the year again when retail shops start planning ahead for the spring season! Gemini, the Stratford based women clothes shop is already a step ahead of the competition and has asked Box Clever Marketing to design the new Gemini spring bag. Box Clever carried out fashion research to find out what colours are going to be the “in-colours” next spring. Inspired by Spring, the design team chose to use flowers for the bags but with a modern twist. Those dedicated fashion shoppers will definitely appreciate these spring bags…not only do they look fab, they will also hold your whole new spring wardrobe collection in them!

Flex Recruitment, the recruitment process company based in Hinckley, approached Box Clever Marketing to get some help for a new, stylish company brochure. The creative team at Box Clever came up with a sporty theme for the twenty-page brochure to emphasise and promote Flex’s flexible, enthusiastic and proactive approach to recruitment. To attract new clients, Box Clever played on the word “Flex” and used bold, eye-catching colours and images. A series of posters were also designed for the reception area of Flex’s offices which are based on the style and images used in the brochure.

Down to earth
Rock & Water, the aquatic features specialist based in Stratford-upon-Avon, contacted Box Clever Marketing to get new ideas for a company logo refresh. Frustrated with other design companies, Rock & Water wanted a company that could interpret their strategy as well as design. The team at Box Clever created 8 different visuals to provide Rock & Water with a choice of styles and, most of all, to demonstrate the team’s vast levels of creativity. The chosen logo was created using a modern font, a strong vibrant colour palette and design to represent the concept of rock and water. The new logo now also appears on all Rock & Water vans. They say that chasing your tail gets you nowhere…but it seems that wagging your tail does!
Nicky Wiggin bakes delicious homemade treats for her dogs using natural produce and fresh herbal extracts. Her unhappiness with the selection of dog food got her thinking, she noticed a huge gap in the market so decided to sell her treats locally. Wanting help getting started she approached Box Clever who christened the project “Tail Waggers” Box Clever designed a logo, business cards, letter headed paper and the packaging for these unique homemade treats. Due the success of what Box Clever has done a website is in discussion… so watch this space!

Box Clever Marketing was involved every step of the way in the success of One Devonshire Place, the radical and exclusive Lingual Orthodontics practice that recently opened in Birmingham. By providing One Devonshire Place with a vibrant corporate identity, logo, stationary, welcome pack and contemporary and stylish interior, Box Clever has helped to make this practice stand out from the rest and revolutionize the client’s experience of dental practices. Paddi Lund, the well-known Australian dentist, was invited as a guest of honour for the opening launch. Box Clever also wrote a press release on the opening of this new dental practice and successfully gained coverage in Dentistry Magazine and Private Dentistry.

Celebrating in style
Honiley Court Hotel recently underwent major refurbishment and now has a brand-new conference centre. In order to promote the opening of this new facility, Box Clever Marketing co-ordinated a direct mail campaign to raise awareness within the Coventry and Warwickshire area and offering a 10% discount. To celebrate this new business venture Honiley Court held a superb black tie event, which was attended by Box Clever Marketing, along with National Grid, Alliance & Leicester, Legal & General and Countrywide Legal Services. Honiley Court’s new investments and the black tie event were featured in a press release written by Box Clever Marketing which was published in four local newspapers and gained a total circulation figure of 66,571.

Unlocking the Inspiration
Box Clever has unlock the secrets and beauties of what lie behind the big oak doors of churches and make people get the urge to explore inside… To preach the word, Box Clever constructed a website for Divine Inspiration, a three-year initiative with support of funding from the English Heritage and Lottery to highlight churches and forthcoming events that are hosted by those churches in the towns and rural areas of Coventry and Warwickshire. The well-known Enable Software wanted support from Box Clever this summer for something that would grab the attention of clients. Box Clever came up with the idea to communicate Enables products via email with a PDF that brought out the strong personality of the business, as they believed this would support sales calls activity and increase the conversion of potential clients.
Lock Stock and Barrel
New identity, new look, new everything is what Box Clever did for the old Solution Design. Together they came up with the unique name of “Vantage” they gave the business a complete make over with a contemporary, bright, eye catching logo along with updated business cards and letter headed paper. To top all of this Box Clever designed a modern website which breaks down the fundamental services Vantage offers.

Overflowing with ideas
In May, Box Clever were invited to poke their nose into someone else’s business, this time with a view to improving the sales and marketing strategy of Vin Neuf. The Stratford based wine merchants uncorked a selection of Box Clever’s services to help analyse its business, set targets and produce a proactive direct mail campaign. As a taster our design team came up with a glut of strap lines and stylish images to choose from. From this emerged a loyalty card designed to give wine lover something to drink about.
What a difference a day makes
Interested in condensing a week’s work into one day? That was one result of Box Clever’s recent endeavours with Enable Software, whose fortunes have turned around in just 12 months. In conjunction with a new identity and website, our consultancy team overhauled the telesales operation for the Stratford based software solutions company, enabling them to set measurable targets, chase progress more efficiently and thus secure meetings with significant prospective clients.

A dated image and business plan left the directors of an established family run commercial and office partitioning company with a very divided opinion. At least the Coventry based company were agreed on calling Box Clever who scrutinised their telesales and pulled to bits their old identity and database. In April a new look DJR Interiors emerged with a name, logo, website and game plan designed to set them apart from the competition.
Slicker looking oil spread across Europe
Box Clever struck oil in April with a contract from multinational Delphi Automotives, to promote a new motor enhancing diesel lubricant across Europe. Offering a glut of conceptual ideas, Box Clever showed precision handling of product photography, copywriting and translation of the final advertisements.
Optical Illusions
Box Clever have been putting a new perspective on this season’s designer range of eyewear at Zeiss Opticians in Stratford. In May, our creative team produced an eye-catching window panel to display ‘Fendi’ sunglasses in the best light. Now passers-by can see clearly what they need to be seen in this summer.

When a growing company needs a new corporate identity for it's own personal image consultation service it turned to Box Clever Marketing. Along with designs for a suitably colourful website, direct mail and stationery range, our team also had to come up with an imaginative name that would encompass it's new hat shop at Hoar Park Shopping Village in Nuneaton. New staff lined up to sell new Spring lines
Leading ladies fashion store enlist the services of Box Clever again for a double edged attack on the new season's sales. Continuing some popular design themes, a double paged advert appeared during March in the Stratford Herald's glossy "Focus" supplement. At the same time our business advisors have completed annual appraisals for 19 members of staff and managed a recruitment drive for two new employees.
No Smoke without Wire-less!
Box Clever used No Smoking Day on March 14 to light up the interest of smokers in the Midlands exhausted with conventional remedies for quitting the habit. Using some of our media contacts, our client NLP Solutions, was mentioned several times on Touch FM's radio news bulletins throughout the day, promoting an alternative approach. The Coventry based company uses Neuro-Linguistic Programming to help individuals achieve goals in their personal and business lives.
Making a better name for itself
Coventry based provider of commercial and industrial partitions felt it's old name and image was not enticing the interest it deserved. With the help of Box Clever Marketing, the newly revamped DJR Interiors now enjoys a sharper corporate identity with a logo and website designed to set it apart from the competition.
Fan Club grows to like us too
The creative team at Box Clever were delighted with a re-commission from the Archer's Addicts Fan Club in March. On the back of a popular design job last summer, the dedicated followers of the famous BBC radio 4 show decided to stay with us for the production of a new glossy 8-page brochure, allowing other devotees to keep abreast of Ambridge gossip and a chance to buy items from an extensive range of merchandise.

Box Clever never take half measures when it comes to keeping a step ahead of design fashions, so in February our Creative Director, Lucy Woodman went to the Pure Fashion Trade show to see what will be stepping off the catwalks and into the High Street shops next autumn. The research trip to London's Olympia has already proven fruitful on several advertising and promotional projects undertaken for 'Gemini', the ladies fashion retailer in Stratford, who source much of their stock from the trade show. If anything, we can see an abundance of print and website applications for new colours and themes destined to be in vogue. Just bring on the style challenge!

Rapid Results
When a rapidly growing company wants to stand out from the crowd, what better than to tap into the strategic and creative strengths of another rapidly growing business. Hamlin RPD, the innovative prototyping business, engaged Box Clever last September for guidance on managing a sales team, targeting sales literature and measuring results.
In October, a sales brochure emerged as one off-shoot of this ongoing consultancy. The considered use of words and images was designed by Box Clever to woo prospective clients, in any business crowd.
Looking to the Seasons
Spring has sprung early for ladies fashion retailer Gemini, since the release its new loyalty discount voucher scheme in January. The trendsetting store wanted to reward its regular clients whilst enticing them back to its store in Stratford to try on garments for the new season. Box Clever added some creative flair and planning to produce eye catching incentives allowing Gemini to keep a high profile and ahead of its High street rivals.
Helping Gemini to meet sales targets was only one part of the brief. Box Clever have also been instrumental in setting targets and objectives for the company's 21 employees this month with the completion of annual staff appraisals.
First Impressions Last
Box Clever are particularly pleased with the first impression it has made on Enable Infomatrix and what it could amount to in the future. The fast growing software and website IT company, based in Stratford, chose Box Clever ahead of two rival agencies back in November, to revamp its corporate identity. In keeping with a dynamic industry, our extensive range of ideas for a new company logo have been finely tuned and looks set to make a big impression on various channels.
A New Purpose
In January, Justin, Managing Director found new purpose in life sharing his expertise with "Common Purpose", The London based business is leading the way in training leaders, from all sectors in life, throughout the UK.
His presence was requested on a Dragon's Den type panel. Together with two other business consultants they grilled and reduced a pack of 40 budding entrepreneurs from the Coventry & Warwickshire area. The best business idea eventually slayed the Dragon's for an substantial investment of £75,000.

Success is Divine!
‘Divine Inspiration’ is a three year project, funded by English Heritage and Heritage Lottery Fund, designed to give churches tools and resources to develop a kind welcome and help them toregain their place in their community. Having won this three year project against two other agencies in the area, we will be working closely with the team, putting the strategy into practice, launching a website in the spring 2007, along with other promotional material... Divine!
Marketing agency is packing a punch!
A new Stratford-upon-Avon sales, marketing and design agency, set up only six months ago, has won a series of contracts throughout the UK and overseas. Box Clever Marketing based in John Street, set up by brother and sister Justin and Lucy Woodman, have already gained clients from retail, charities and manufacturing, as well as from the housing and healthcare sectors. About half their work has been with local clients and the other half has involved projects in places as far apart as the Isle of Man and Korea.
